Visiting During COVID-19

Steps WE are taking to minimize your risk:

  • Reduced capacity in accordance with state guidelines
  • Advance-purchase, timed-entry tickets to assist with capacity management
  • Protective acrylic panels at the admissions desk and museum shop workstations
  • No-touch or low-touch visitor experience to the extent possible
  • Continuous enhanced cleaning of high-touch surfaces throughout the day
  • Hand sanitizer units stationed throughout the building
  • Staff required to wear face coverings in all public areas
  • Social distancing markers installed at the entrance and in elevators

Steps we expect VISITORS to take to minimize risk:

  • Follow posted room capacities for all public spaces within the museum; if a room has reached its maximum capacity, please wait to enter until others have left.
  • Practice proper hygiene for the prevention of disease as directed by the CDC, including frequent hand washing and cough/sneeze etiquette.
  • Leave large bags, backpacks, and other bulky items at home; they cannot be taken into the galleries or left at the admissions desk. A small number of cubbies (unmonitored) are available for temporary storage of such items.
